Last weeks were really hard for me: I was working at my 'product name is censored' automation project. I had only two weeks to prepare a presentation of chosen tools abilities and demonstration of some test plan automation. And all I new back there, was that I want to use Sikuli (as the 'product name is censored' is a web panel), and... and that's all.
It's ended up as a Robot Framework + Sikuli tricky integration, and writing my own lib on python. Here I should add, that I've started studying python at that very moment I've started writing code with it :)
I hope I'll find a time to create a big post about the most tricky places in integration of this tools, and a tips on using Sikuli itself.
But now I'm here just to share the celebration: today my project was agreed with all interested persons, and I have a green light to proceed with! Of course, that wasn't easy: me, the manual tester, needed to ensure the person, who is auto tester (and responsible for auto testing in our team) that we should forget about our old framework (written on selenium), and create new one, and I would create it, and with the help of tools chosen by only me. Who would agreed with that??? But, whatever, at the end we came into agreement :)
So this is story of how I have proclaimed myself an auto tester.
By the way, I'm studing python with this course on courcera.com . If you never tried online courses before - u should do it now =)

Irish Comedy in Moscow!
Last Friday we went to the "Moscow Irish Comedy festival Dylan Moran and Michael Legge".
| Moscow Irish Comedy Festival |
Of course, the main reason was that Dylan Moran would be there. We didn't even tried to goggle smth about the other guy >__<". But he was very good either. Michael Legge is from Northern Ireland, and his pronunciation and speech accents are gorgeous!! And that fact, he mentioned Doctor Who at least three times during his stand up, made me love him :)
If I need to tell about his speech in brief, I would say mainly he uses words 'fuck' and 'God'.
But let me tell you about Moran! I don't have enough words to describe, how I am happy to see and hear him again! He is smart, he is cute, he is funny and he is the Master of comedy. I laughed myself into fits. He prepared lots of new jokes specially about Russia, and he was constantly using russian words, that was lovely! I hope he'll come again, and I am very grateful to guys, who is in charge of the fact, this type of events are possible in Russia now.

This winters' spring...
This winters' spring is very snowy.
Yeah, that's not a mistake, this spring is just like another part of the winter. The weather is so cold, snow is everywhere, including the air, and I sleep under the blanket, the downy blanket, woolen blanket and an orange rug.
Oww, please, give me more sun in this concrete jungles T_T

Hello world!
And hello, stranger. I had so many thoughts about this first greeting post but... of course, they are all gone now. The best thought come to me when it's 2 a.m already, I'm in bed, and I'm trying to fall asleep for an hour or so...
But, yeah, I need to tell ya at least something to start with: who am I? why am I dong this pointless thing(blog I mean)? why do you need to read my blog? why the heck my English is so poor?
Here you are some answers:
It was a winter, it was cold winter, it was cold winter in russia and it was night. I've decided to watch some TED talks before going to sleep. After 5 or 6 talks I was able to finally stop myself, close iPad and close my eyes. But it's not that easy to close mi mind: om mani padme hum *stop thinking u idiot!* om mani padme hum... Well, I can't even remember now, what talk pushed me to this, but I've decided to make blog in english.
English is not my native language, as u might notice already :) So please, PLEASE, feel free to comment on my grammar and else, it will help me a lot!
Considering my interests and lifestyle, in this blog you will see post about: comics, books, android apps, IT, QA, stand up comedy, travel photos, Doctor Who, photos from daily life in msk, games, foreign languages study and more, but I've tired to think and I need proceed work on my testing automation project ;)
